Le Coq Sportif X Éditions M.R - MR Turbostyle...

It is our pleasure to announce our collaboration with Le Coq Sportif. The label’s history and craftsmanship fueled our desire to work together in developping our sneakers. For Le Coq Sportif, it represented the opportunity to inaugurate their Made in France line. We had the opportunity to access the archives of Le Coq Sportif in order to reinvent their iconic LCS Turbostyle whose first prototype was made in 1981. This new edition is offered in two colors choices, both in leather and suede, and discretely signed by an embossed MR on the back.  Photography by Philippe Lacombe, Set Design Carole Gregoris, Art Direction Atelier Franck Durand

HOLIDAY X ÉDITIONS M.R - Marinière Holiday

Born out of a collaboration between Editions MR and the hedonist travelers’ magazine, these marinières revisit a staple of classic French garb with an out-to-sea spirit. Marked by their high quality craftsmanship, unisex lines and soft knit in dominant blue or ecru, these Parisian pieces come from Italy but arrive straight at the essence: the timeless elegance of the French seaside come to town and the sweetness of easy living. For with these stripes come memories: those of holidays gone by and, above all, those of ones still to come.

Cuvée Noël 2016 - Cognac Godet

This fourth Cuvée de Noël, offered in a limited edition run of 50 numbered bottles, consists of two eaux-de-vie: Petite Champagne aged 8-10 years and Grande Champagne aged 12-14 years. We have worked together with cellar master and good friend Jean Édouard Godet to create this special blend.    We recommend serving this cognac at the evening’s start with tonic water over two cubes of ice and a quarter of lime.   Photography by Philippe Lacombe - Art Direction Atelier Franck Durand Discover the Cuvée

Le Cabinet de Curiosités of Thomas Erber - at colette, Les...

For the sixth edition of the Cabinet de Curiosités of Thomas Erber, Éditions M.R created a unique « bathrobe » coat. The piece is featured at colette in Paris from November 23rd to December 24th 2015. 3 QUESTIONS TO THOMAS ERBER: Mathieu & Rémi: The Cabinet de Curiosités is an old concept that you completely reinvented, where did the idea come from ? Thomas Erber: In 2009, I wanted to create a new space, with international visibility, which would allow me to stay connected to the fields of explorations that I had visited in the world as a journalist. But this time, I wanted it to be in a more creative, evolutionary and federative manner. Creativity is what man holds closest to himself, especially in his imperfections, which is why markets should be kept at a safe distance, so they can’t influence creativity. M.R.:  Is mixing fashion, design, graphic art, photography and film a new approach to curation ? T.E.: I am fortunate enough that starting from a young age, I developed a strong interest for a wide variety of things. If a person wants to participate in the Cabinet, I need to meet with them, like what they do, and verify their methods of fabrications. I traveled around the world for nearly 25 years in a quest to meet designers, chefs, photographers, musicians, and all sorts of different artists. The CDC is a way to convene my fields of interest into a central hub and also a way for me to give back a little of what musicians, writers and designers give me all my life... M.R.:  After going around the globe in London, Berlin, NY, and Bangkok, the 6th edition of the CDC is hosted at Colette, just like the first. How has it evolved?  T.E.: Really beautifully, both in the media and creatively. Each year, an increasing amount of artists participate and internationally acclaimed press coverage continues to grow. Despite all of this, it’s still a struggle to obtain funding and to find partners. But oh well, it can’t be perfect. It’s a challenge, which I find impassioning. If not this, better just call it quits now and die with your eyes closed.

Le Cabinet de Curiosité of Thomas Erber - at the NoMad...

Held annually, Thomas’ CDC is an exhibition that focuses on highlights the latest of design, fashion, photography and high-end jewelry. The fourth edition of the CDC presented an opportunity for Melindagloss to showcase the French sartorial savoir-faire in New York City. In this piece, we created a double breasted jacket using an engraving technique on the right side of the vest where the Scottish material is laid out askew, a tromp l’oeil reveals itself beneath the collars and lapels. Both jackets on display were manufactured in Limoge, France. Many thanks to Thomas Erber and the Nomad Hotel.

Le Cabinet de Curiosité de Thomas Erber - Every year...

Every year Thomas' CDC holds an exhibition featuring exciting and innovative work in high-level design, fashion, and jewelry. For our featured piece in the 2012 edition held in Berlin, Melindagloss found influence in both past and present styles. Based on the famous photograph of French pilot and writer Antoine de Saint-Exupery, we revisited the 1950's aviator-inspired parka and blended in a modern, hybrid design. The main body of the coat is made from drap de laine, finished with a sheepskin collar and leather strap. Many thanks to Thomas Erber and Andreas Murkudis.
